The day
Seville is the most popular day trip from the Algarve, and with good reason: the Alcázar palace, the Cathedral and the Giralda, the lanes of Santa Cruz and Plaza de España are all within walking distance of each other.
It is also a long day, with about five hours on the road in total. A private driver makes it easy: you rest on the way, you are dropped where you need to be, and nobody drives home after a day of walking in the heat.

Good to know
- Book the Alcázar online in advance for a timed entry: it sells out. We plan the day around your ticket.
- Spain is one hour ahead of Portugal. Opening times are in Spanish time.
- In July and August afternoons are very hot: we start earlier and keep the walking for the morning and evening.
- Carry your passport or ID card. There is normally no border check, but you are crossing into Spain.

How long is the drive from the Algarve to Seville?
About 2 hours 15 minutes to 2 hours 45 minutes each way from the central Algarve, a little less from the eastern Algarve.
Is a day trip to Seville too long?
It is a full day, but a comfortable one with a driver. If you prefer a slower pace, we can plan two days with a night in Seville.
Does the chauffeur come with us around the city?
Your chauffeur drops you off and collects you where and when you need. If you would like a local guide for the monuments, ask us when you book.
Are the monument tickets included?
Tell us what you want to visit and the quote shows exactly what it covers. Many clients prefer to buy the Alcázar tickets themselves online.
