The day
Between Albufeira and Lagos, the coast is the Algarve of the postcards: ochre cliffs, arches and sea caves. Inland, a short drive away, the landscape changes to orange groves, a red-stone castle and cool mountain villages.
We combine the two into the day you want, from a few hours on the coast to a full circuit, and stop wherever you like for photographs, lunch or a swim.
